I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
-Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged)
Oh, and your idea of utopia, I suppose, is a world where people are compelled, by the force of government, to work for the benefit of others? You see, the quote is a statement of morality. It is evil to expect or demand anyone to work for your benefit. When you force someone to work for you, and they get nothing in return, that is slavery. The statement is that I will not be a slave, nor will I enslave others. If you do not see the virtue in that statement, then I encourage you to live as a slave. If that is what you want, so be it. You will not force me to live that way. I get to choose my work, and I get to choose who it benefits. If you do not understand how that is better than slavery, I pity you.

So Ayn Rand's comment sounds like the makings of a wonderful world to you, huh? Amazing.
